About CFM56-7 Engines

The CFM56-7 has a thrust range of 19,500 to 27,300 lb_f which is higher than the takeoff thrust of the CFM56-3 series engines.  Aside from having a higher thrust range than the CFM56-3 series, it also has improved efficiency and costs less to repair.

At this time, the CFM56-7 is responsible for powering Boeing 737 Next Generation series which includes: Boeing 737-600, Boeing 737-700, Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-900.  It encompasses features derived from the CFM56-5 series, but has an improved internal design.
